After becoming the highest-grossing entry in its series last weekend, Resident Evil: Afterlife slowed a bit but had no problem leading the overseas box office for the third frame in a row. Eat Pray Love opened in a handful of major territories and moved in to second place, while Inception extended its impressive run and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps had a respectable but unremarkable debut.

Afterlife dipped 39 percent to $24.3 million, with its only noteworthy openings occurring in France ($3.5 million) and Hong Kong ($768,324). It's now made $154.1 million overseas, which is more than the first two Resident Evil movies made combined. On the worldwide front, Afterlife passed the $200 million mark on Sunday.

In its first major weekend Eat Pray Love earned $12.9 million. This includes solid launches in Germany ($2.5 million), Spain ($2 million), France ($1.9 million), and the United Kingdom ($1.8 million). Since opening last month, the Julia Roberts globetrotting drama has earned $19.99 million overseas, and still has yet to open in most international markets.

Inception was up a tick to $10.6 million thanks to a strong $3.7 million debut in Italy, which is its last major territory. With $486.4 million in foreign earnings, the Christopher Nolan mindbender seems poised to pass $500 million overseas sometime next weekend. Worldwide, Inception has made a remarkable $773.7 

million.

You may have guessed, you may have assumed it, but until now we hadn't had confirmation from the studio or the man himself that Christopher Nolan would be back to direct Batman 3 / The Dark Knight 2 (or whatever we're calling it). But our Dan Jolin talked to the man himself earlier today, and got it straight from Nolan himself.
"It’s becoming inevitable, I’ll put it that way," says Nolan. "I feel myself falling into it, I guess. And getting it all figured out and I’m pretty excited about what we’re doing so… If I haven’t announced it, I think that people probably all know at this point that I’m doing it."
Hang on, that's not 100% clear: so we can safely assume you're directing?
"I think you can at this point, yes."
So as of right now, Nolan will return. You may also have spotted the "getting it all figured out" there: when we asked Nolan what he was busy with as we called, the answer was that he's working on Jonathan Nolan's script for the film. In other words, there is a script! Things are slowly taking shape!

Cinderella

Once upon a time there lived an unhappy young girl. Her mother was dead and her father had married a widow with two daughters. Her stepmother didn't like her one little bit. All her kind thoughts and loving touches were for her own daughters. Nothing was too good for them - dresses, shoes, delicious food, soft beds, and every home comfort.

But, for the poor unhappy girl, there was nothing at all. No dresses, only her stepsisters’ hand-me-downs. No lovely dishes, nothing but scraps. No rest and no comfort. She had to work hard all day. Only when evening came was she allowed to sit for a while by the fire, near the cinders. That’s why everybody called her Cinderella.

Cinderella used to spend long hours all alone talking to the cat.but The cat just said, . Miaow. You have something neither of your stepsisters has and that is beauty.. It was quite true.

One day, beautiful new dresses arrived at the house. A ball was to be held at the palace and the stepsisters were getting ready to go. Cinderella didn't even dare ask if she could go too.cinderella just staying at home to wash the dishes, scrub the floors and turn down the beds for her stepsisters.

Suddenly something amazing happened. As Cinderella was sitting all alone, there was a burst of light and a fairy appeared

The fairy smiled. With a flick of her magic wand Cinderella found herself wearing the most beautiful dress she had ever seen.

Cinderella soon returned with the pumpkin and the cat with seven mice he had caught in the cellar. With a flick of the magic wand the pumpkin turned into a sparkling coach and the mice became six white horses.

Cinderella had a wonderful time at the ball until she heard the first stroke of midnight! She remembered what the fairy had said, and without a word of goodbye she slipped from the Prince. she ran down the steps. As she ran she lost one of her slippers.

The Prince, who was now madly in love with her, picked up the slipper and said to his ministers,

the ministers tried the slipper on the foot of every girl in the land until only Cinderella was left.and then cinderella tried that slipper and

Suddenly the fairy appeared and waved her magic wand. In a flash, Cinderella appeared in a splendid dress, shining with youth and beauty. Her stepmother and stepsisters gaped at her in amazement,and then Cinderella married the Prince and lived happily ever after.

Performing Animals Mistreated in China

(CNN) -- Bears riding motorcycles, tigers jumping through flaming hoops and pigs leaping off diving boards. Just some of the "entertainment" that can be seen at circuses, zoos and safari parks in China, according to a report by Animals Asia into animals cruelty.

The Hong Kong-based animal rights campaign group visited 13 safari parks and zoos in China and according to David Neale, Animals Asia's Animal Welfare Director, found that the animal shows "portray the animal to the public in a humiliating way" and have no educational value. 

The report says that many of the performance animals that include tigers, lions, Asiatic black bears, elephants and monkeys are born and bred in captivity and brutalized throughout their lives.

These animals have been suffering from birth, really. Once they're born they go into this industry. And straight away the trainers are starting to brutalize them to make them to do these tricks.... We saw some of the training of the younger animals; they were continually hit to make sure they learnt these tricks so that when they're out in the performance ring they perform them to the best standard.

Once the trick is finished they then go to the backstage area where they're housed in the most shocking conditions. All kinds of animals are held in cages full of faeces, with very little access to water, very little access to food.

The abuse of performing animals isn't specific to China.

According to a government report on July 29 the Chinese State Forestry Administration accused companies that have animal performance shows of having excessive focus on profits, leading to the mistreatment and death of the animals.

The oldest palace in the world changed Turkey into a museum open

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, ANKARA - A court found in 5000 in eastern Turkey, the world's oldest castle, the museum will be open in June, semi-governmental news agency, Anatolia, reported on Thursday. Found in an underground palace in the hill cemetery Aslantepe, an ancient settlement in the village Orduzu, Malatya Province, was built in 3300 BC, and the restoration of the palace will be completed during the year, said Marcella Frangipane, a professor of archeology at the University of La Spienza Italy and chairman of the excavation team in Aslantepe, Anatolia said. According to him, the museum will show how an ancient country in Aslantepe began to be built and how the state system dijalankan.Ia explained, the excavation team has found the ceiling of each room palace with a roof to protect the building.
